1. The raw materials for glass are green.

Silicon is one of the most abundant elements in the Earth's crust among the aluminosilicate compounds that make up the main structure of laminated glass, and it exists in nature in the form of minerals. The main raw materials used in laminated glass are quartz sand, soda ash, calcite, limestone, borax, and feldspar. Small amounts of other auxiliary raw materials can be added to adjust the performance of laminated glass according to different performance requirements. With the development of laminated glass technology, it is now possible to select raw materials that are completely harmless to humans and the environment, and there are mature safety protection measures in place to ensure the green and healthy nature of the glass raw materials.

2. The processing of laminated glass is green and environmentally friendly.

(1) The glass melt is produced by melting the prepared raw materials at a high temperature of about 1500℃. The glass product processing mainly involves four steps: batching, melting, forming, and annealing. The entire production process has been automated and has basically achieved digital and intelligent production and control. Operators can set and adjust process parameters from the control room and implement intelligent operation and maintenance of the entire production process, greatly reducing work intensity and improving the working environment for workers.

(2) Currently, in the glass production process, the heat source for the melting process of laminated glass is mostly natural gas fuel and electricity, which are green energy sources strongly advocated by the state. Many enterprises have also installed photovoltaic power generation devices. With the development and progress of laminated glass production technology, all-oxygen combustion technology and all-electric melting technology are applied in glass production. At the same time, heat recovery and recycling technology is used in the process, which greatly improves thermal efficiency, reduces energy consumption, and saves energy.

(3) In order to better reduce pollution emissions, glass factories have carried out desulfurization, denitrification, and ash removal treatment on flue gas to minimize emissions. Water used in the glass industry is mainly used for production cooling. Since laminated glass is extremely stable and will not pollute the cooling water, water recycling is achieved, and wastewater is basically not generated in the entire production process.

Multiple quality and emission monitoring points are established in the production process of laminated glass to monitor the quality of products and gas emissions during the production process, strictly ensuring that glass production meets national product quality and environmental protection standards.
